1 o' clock today I start PT!!!!!! Woo friggin hoo! I cannot wait to get back on and get started again with my life. Not like this set back is not a part of life, it is. It has allowed me to slow down for a second or two and realize whats what and who's who!

HE has allowed me the chance to keep racing, I could not be happier. A bit more motion in my leg and with the return the Dr. said was possible, but "take it easy" at VIR in June!
The wrist though has to wait unitl next week for PT , just the R knee for now. There is alot of atrophy and the right leg needs to be basically rebuilt in the muscle dept. No worries.

What really has been on my mind since yesterday, still, is the amount of mail and supprot I have receievd from BMW riders everywhere. When I say everywhere I mean palces like Afghanistan. I don't know if this BMW rider stationed in Afghanistan would like his name on here, but if so afetr I check with him, I will. This BMW rider sent just an awesome letter and reassurance in what WE are doing. The race suit that I will be wearing from what our community felt they wanted to do for me, will feel great everytime I put it on!

Ok have to get ready for PT and I guess they dont want the stinky flip flops worn there. I wore them to the Dr.'s office and his eyes were tearing I think, they are pretty abd after I saw his face. lol

Cheers,

Morning, I have been up for a few hours just feeling bad that I cannot come through for a very very supportive club, BMW MC Owner's of Alabama at a rather large rally in Huntsville, AL. This is a club who's president visited me each day in the hospital, members came through out the week, and even drove me home 2.5 hours from the hospital. Im dealing with an infected knee now, the amount of fluid and burning sensations/heat my knee is generating, myay delaythe start of physical therapy this week if it does not subside. It is at its worst when standing and or wallking around. Basically just overdoing it could delay me getting back to racing, I cannot afford that. Again, anther frusteration.....

June 23rd/24th is and will be what the Doc says my first race weekend back. I cannot wait. I hope to be 100% by July 6/7/8 in WI. for ASRA Thunderbike and MotoST. Hopefully I will hear from the west coast soon, have not since accident...

We will be running up front in no time though, just have to get back some lost muscle and motion, no worries though!

Sorry for not having much more to say just sitting, waiting, wishing, (Jack Johnson song).

Eveveryone, please have a safe and fun Memorial weekend! Ride smart!

Cheers,

Nate

Well hey there! Before I head out to grab a bite to eat with some friend's that are gracious enough to pick me up, lol, I wanted to say hello to all of youse.

I am really excited that I can move way more than expected so far. I day dream a bit, come back to reality, realize I WILL be racing again soon and not listen to the crap phone call I got last night! Yeah through pain people tend to get a differ aproach to life and things, but we are all different. What may cause another to regress makes another motivated.

Not once have I given into this bullshit undercurrent of who is better, why do some have more people support than others, articualtion into a strategy for better success ignored, so what, LOL!
Ths is still such a small part of our lives (being directly involved). Then I think of how many people should be involved, why sit back and not enjoy the extra benefits of being a BMW MC owner.

I cannot wait for Physical Therapy. This Thursday stitches come out (knee and wrist) and same day PT. Headaches are subsiding rapidly and have not and will not take any more of tht Percocet crap, more toruble than it's worth. Would love to eat more, but 2 differ days of breathing tubes stuffed down my throat, from surgeries, has left the passage way realy scraped up and almost everything burns, oh well, milkshakes rule! lol Thanks Chris for the ride to get the shake.

TTYouseL,

N8!

We feel strongly we have gotten to the very bottom of this freak, straight line (go figure?!), failure of something on the machine. Does not mean others are any less nor should be looked at harshly, it happened. I am healing very well. I have a bigger family I realize now than ever. Funny, went from just my Grandparents to the BMW family!
